A great WordPress.com site

Watch this site for upcoming news.

Well, it’s about time I dust off this unused WordPress site and take it out for a spin.  I created this page many years ago, but never added any content.  However, I plan to make use of the space.  After all it was very nice of WordPress to maintain my account despite my lack of its use.

Next week, I will be attending the NPPA Multimedia Immersion Workshop.  It is going to be very intense and should generate many things for me to talk about going forward.  I also plan to update more often and keep you abreast of some of the exciting things that I have been doing since I’ve been away.  So, watch this site for upcoming news.

Love, peace and soul,

Brenda

What’s In My Genealogy Bag? — My Journey Through the Generations

The first time I went to the library to research I remember all I took with me was a copy of my family tree and a pencil that was it, no money, no paper, and no plan. That’s a far cry from what I take with me now. It doesn’t matter if I’m going to […]

The Valley of Decision

Here I sit in the valley of decision.  There are so many choices and wonderful opportunities available to embark upon.  What is a girl to do?

Every now and then, it would do us good to just slow down and take inventory on what is truly important in life.  What good is running through life so fast that you don’t have an opportunity to enjoy the experience?  When you move too fast, you miss out on some of the most beautiful scenery.  You don’t get to stop and savor any of the moments.

For example, last week I was in Detroit, MI for a convention.  I made a mental note, that I wanted to drive by Motown, where all the musical magic stems from.  I mentioned it to my husband and brother-in-law and they agreed it would be a good idea, since we were in the area.  However, with all the hustle and bustle of getting the luggage together, checking out of the hotel, and fueling the car with gas – we completely forgot about it until we were somewhere deep in Canada.  I guess, I’ll have to add Motown to my bucket list (when I slow down enough to make one).

Well people, the best advice that I can give to you is to slow down a little bit so that you don’t miss out on life.  Don’t slow down so much that you get stuck in the valley of decision.  But slow down just enough so that you can enjoy some of the scenery and the good things in life.  I’m sure you won’t regret it.

The Brenda Muhammad Unblog

Well,

It appears I forgot that I created a wordpress blog about 10 months ago.  I must have been feeling very ambitious that day.  I thought I would post every day with all sorts exciting things. That was not to be the case.  I appears that I have created the Brenda Muhammad unblog.  I’ll try to post more often

Hello world!

Hello World!

My life has been such a world wind of adventure that I thought it would be a great thing to share will my peeps :-)!  It seems that I am constantly busy.  I have been to some exciting places lately and I just have to share some of it with somebody.

It appears that I am a learning junky.  I think I must need some sort of intervention.  There are so many things to see, learn and do.  You don’t even have to leave your home.  Did you know that the library has a subscription to Universal Class?  They have over 500 classes that you can take online for free from the comfort of your own home if you have a library card and internet service.  OMG!  You have got to check it out.  Just visit http://www.onlib.org/web/databases/promos/universal_class.htm to learn more.

That is only the tip of the iceberg.  I have so much more to share with you.  So if you are a nerd like me or love a nerd like me, then stay posted because I will be sharing other great resources and upcoming events.  Well I’ll talk to you all later, because I am suppose to be studying.

Peace and Blessings,

Brenda Muhammad signing out.
